Business Premises License Application
Exotic Group could help you apply for the business premises license from the respective State Authorities. The requirements for the application of business premise license and signboard license may vary according to each local authority.

For Company
(i) Certificate of Incorporation (Form 9/Section 17) – 1 copy;
(ii) SuperForm (Section 14) – 1 copy;

For Enterprise (Sole-proprietor / Partnership)
(i) Certificate of Registration of Business (Form D) – 1 copy;
(ii) e-SSM Business Profile – 1 copy;
(iii) Photos of your business premise (front and interior of premise);
(iv) Copy of any Business owner/Partner’s NRIC as stated in Form 49 – 1 copy;
(v) Sample of signboard indicating design and color (if applicable);

Employment Agency License Application
All companies operating as private employment agency is required to obtain license from the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia (“the Department”) before commencement of business.
Kindly note that private employment agency license is only applicable if you are operating a recruitment / executive search firm.
No licence to carry on the business of a private employment agency shall be granted unless—
(a) where such business is to be carried on by an individual, he is a citizen of Malaysia;
(b) where such business is to be carried on by a partnership, the partners are citizens of Malaysia;
(c) where such business is to be carried on by a company, the majority of the shares in the capital of the company are held by citizens of Malaysia;
If you prefer to have a company’s name that does not begin with “Agensi Pekerjaan” or “Recruitment Agency”, a minimum paid-up capital of RM500,000 is required.

Please note that your company must have a physical office as the Department will conduct a site visit for inspection of the premises and all the company’s Directors must be present for an interview conducted by the Department.
WRT License Application
WRT (Wholesale Retail Trade) license is applicable for foreign owned company (more than 50%) only. Businesses such as retail, trading (import and export), distributive trades, restaurants, franchise business and services and consultancy are required to obtain license from the Ministry of Trade Cooperative and Consumerism Malaysia.
Approval for WRT has a validity period of 2 years. Applicants must renew their approval 3 months before the expiry date.

Publishing Permit Application
Anyone who prints periodicals or imports, publishes, sells, circulates or distributes whatever periodicals in Malaysia must obtain permit from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Printing Machine License Application
Companies printing over 1000 impressions per hour for business publication / printing is required to apply for Printing Machine License from Ministry of Home Affairs.

Restaurant, Cafe, Bar Licenses – Liqour license & Entertainment License
Liqour license is a permit giving out by local authorities to control selling of alcohol. Different authorities will have different law and regulations. It’s depend on the location of the shop, make sure that it’s not nearby the hospital, mosque & residential area. Once confirm for the application, it has to be advertised the newspaper before sending to local authorities. The department involved are Pejabat Daerah, Custom and Police. It has to go through a procedure from submission application, interview from the police and bomba certification.
Entertainment license refers to the permit approval from local authorities to allow the business of entertainment like Karaoke, Pub, Snooker and etc. All kind of pub, cafe, pool are strictly allowed to open at ground floor only. Any operation of the above mention business not following the regulation is illegal.
